Do recruiters select workers with different personality traits for different tasks? A discrete choice experiment

This paper explores whether firms recruit workers with different personality traits for tasks. We conduct a discrete choice experiment among recruiters of 634 in Germany, asking to choose between job applicants who differ seven characteristics: professional competence, the Big Five traits, and prospective wage level. find that all affect hiring probability applicant, conscientiousness agreeableness having strongest positive effects.
